Powers/Abilities: this is all going to sound extremely stupid.

Troll Stuff. Eridan is amphibious, so he can live both on land and in water. Because of his fancy purple blood, he had a possible lifespan of hundreds of years, and he is a physically strong boy, capable of wrangling huge monsters and fighting dirty. He was also fully capable of withstanding a near-constant onslaught of vicious, bloodthirsty angels. (In this game, that means Max can punch him and not immediately murder him, but that's about it.) He's got chompers that chomp real good, like all the trolls got. (I just found out trolls can't eat onions? I don't know where to put this information but I want you to know it's apparently canon that trolls cannot eat onions.)
Prince of Hope. Eridan's classpect in SGRUB is "the Prince of Hope," which he assumed meant that he was an authority in all things hope-related. This is not what it means. The Prince player is considered an active destroyer of their aspect, who can also use their aspect to destroy. In Eridan's case, he actively destroyed the hope of his fellow trolls by nuking their one chance at repopulation (plus like, half of his friends). Princes are a vital part of growth, however: when a prince destroys their aspect, it makes way for new opportunities to be pursued. (Eridan blowing up the matriorb kicked the trolls into taking action instead of letting their hopelessness eat at them. Or something.) Oh, and I guess Princes are generally devoid of their aspect, so Eridan is literally hopeless. Is that an ability? I don't know.
As for Hope? Uh, according to Jake English, hope is "all about believing in stuff." Cool, thanks for that in-depth breakdown buddy.
Wwhite Science. I think this should cover the last half of Eridan's powers... the power of SCIENCE! Which is really just magic but shhh don't tell him. Anyway, he had a magic wand that could blow people away, all because he believed it was super powerful. See??? That's what the Hope aspect is all about!

Inventory: Homestuck kids all have elaborate inventory systems. I'm not going to get into the details, whatever, he has 20 bottles of Faygo in all of the worst flavors like grape and red pop (and one Rock & Rye. the best flavor, yes I was that Homestuck fan, shut up).

Job History: Work is for land-dwelling suckerfish, not royalty like himself. But I guess if we're going to split hairs or whatever...

AT HOME. Eridan used his FLARP (Extreme LARPing with death and dismemberment as a common theme, hey that sounds familiar!) experience to provide food for his moirail's animal guardian. Doing this prevented their planet from being destroyed by said guardian's life-eradicating voice. This was his main job/focus before Alternia was eradicated in a fiery asteroid apocalypse. He was extremely good at this.
SGRUB. Eridan's title in the game was "Prince of Hope" and he took this role extremely seriously. Or, he thought he did, anyway. Unfortunately, instead of understanding the nature of his role as a destroyer, Eridan assumed being the Prince of Hope meant he was an expert in what hope is. This... is extremely not true. He was extremely bad at this.

It's not really genocide if you're just doing what your blood caste tells you to do. If he'd just pushed her harder, Feferi would have stayed in a quadrant, any quadrant, with him. It's his fault the troll race has been wiped out. It's his fault Feferi is dead, it's his fault Kanaya is a vampire now, Karkat told him this would happen and he didn't listen, he never listens, why doesn't he just listen to people when they're trying to help him? Maybe if they'd listened to him they would still be alive. Maybe they should have taken him more seriously. Maybe if people took him seriously they would actually stick around. If he was actually worth anything people would want to be his friend, but they don't, so either he's worthless or they are. It's so much easier if it's them.

Every one of these "suppressions" is a raw, open wound that will never heal over properly!

(Not pictured: a three-thousand-word internal monologue going over each individual romantic overture he's flubbed his way through. Those he has definitely successfully buried deep down inside.)

Greatest Fear: Being alone forevver. Not just romantically, but literally, being stuck somewhere where he's by himself and people COULD visit but just.... don't.
Greatest Desire: To be revered, respected, and loved. (Feared is also acceptable. Just as long as somebody takes him seriously.)
Greatest Regret: Telling his friends his plan to join Jack Noir.
